The research aims to assess both the opportunities and the legal implications of such technologies. The study combines legal analysis with a case study of the EU-funded PERIVALLON project. The paper identifies and discusses the relevant EU legal frameworks in the fields of AI governance and personal data protection. It concludes that while AIdriven geospatial tools offer substantial potential for environmental law enforcement, their deployment must be carefully aligned with EU legal standards to ensure compliance. | |
