| Tartalmi kivonat: | Several pagan rites of the ancient Roman religion survived in Christian services, such as crossing and blessing of the cross, which, in my opinion are also continuations of the augur-rite. Also, the circle divided into four parts became a sacral symbol in Ancient Rome as a consequence of applying four part divisions in predictions, city and colonia foundations and in the practice of landsurvey. It is also confirmed by sources that the Christian signum can be traced back to ancient Roman ritual precedents. |
