After defining the characteristics of young adult language learners in general, I am going to take a look at - from a theoretical point of view - how the programme fits the abilities of the late starters of Russian. Can young adult language learners achieve native-like proficiency with the present Russian programme? I am going to provide an answer from the theoretical point of view. This paper serves as a propaedeutic analysis of the topic. For more detailed information about the Russian major students and the Russian Programme further research is required. |
